Plan Check Availability

Due to increased plan check submittals, the City of Santa Barbara Building Division will be restructuring public access to plan check staff. The intent of this restructuring is to allow staff to meet estimated target dates for plan check completion.

Effective February 28, 2012, plan check staff will be available during the following hours: Monday – Thursday and every other Friday: 9 – 10am and 3 – 4pm.

It is recommended that applicants make appointments with the plan check staff during this time. Plan check staff will continue to respond to email inquiries and voicemail messages within 24 hours. The Building Counter will remain open to the public from 8:30am - 4:30pm for other building department transactions. The restructured availability of plan check staff will remain in effect until further notice.
